Clyde Waterfront Education

Flora fauna

Web page on green space

A presentation from an organisation such as Scottish Natural Heritage could be the stimulus for this project. Young people will research the biodiversity/habitat networks along the waterfront. The lessons will also develop knowledge of local arts and community projects (such as Gorbals Art Project) and increase awareness of how these initiatives can be made accessible through use of parks, open air exhibitions etc. Young people will research the economic benefits of promoting local green space and gain an increased awareness of the transport facilities to access these places. Strathclyde Police may be involved in order to promote safety in local green spaces. Ultimately, groups will design a web page aimed at increasing awareness of all of the above aspects of the Clyde’s green network.
