Values

A lesson that encourages reflective and philosophical thinking about what learners’ value. PowerPoint resource used to begin lesson. The first activity is designed for individuals to identify and establish some of their own personal values in a group situation. The second activity requires learners to work in groups to research information about values and plan an assembly for their peers.

Broad Outcomes of learning

• Developed employability skills: these will vary according to which group task the pupil undertakes. Some pupils will develop organisation skills, time management, reporting and note taking
• All learners will develop self awareness, communication and consideration of others through group work and discussion
• Learners have developed 4 capacities of CfE
