Clyde Waterfront Heritage

Take an education trip on the MV Cruiser

On the river

Get out on the water to experience the continuing story of the Clyde. Once a trip "doon the watter" was the favourite holiday treat for Glasgow people. Now, as regeneration takes place along the river, this is the ideal way to explore the heritage of the area.

Regular waterbus services are now being provided on the river by Clyde Clippers and Clydelink. Use the riverboats to take you down river from the city centre to the Glasgow Science Centre, the Riverside Museum, Govan and Braehead.

Most famous of all, the Waverley is the only surviving paddlesteamer on the Clyde and offers a range of excursions.

Have fun on the river and see the sights as well, Seaforce  offer sightseeing trips down the river by powerboat.

A seaplane service has been successfully established on the Clyde, making it possible to fly direct from Glasgow city centre to Oban and Tobermory, over some of Scotland's most stunning scenery.

Clyde Marine provide the Classroom on the Clyde, a trip along the river especially designed for school groups and directly connecting with Clydewaterfront Education.

Although it is a static visitor attaction The Tall Ship  is also on the river. Visit this Clydebuilt sailing vessel, now moored outside Riverside Museum for a fun and educational day out.
