Something for everyone

The waterfront already has an amazing selection of leisure attractions and a series of proposed developments will further enhance the area’s popularity. You can find out more by visiting the Clyde Waterfront Heritage website.

Riverside attractions include:

Glasgow Science Centre - one of Scotland's most popular attractions, including IMAX, science mall, Glasgow tower, planetarium and virtual science theatre.

The Tall Ship - go aboard the Glenlee, Glasgow's resident tall ship and explore the realities of life at sea.

Titan Clydebank - take the lift to the top of one of Scotland largest cranes and survey the Clyde from a superb vantage point.

SECC -  Scotland’s premier conference and entertainments facility.

Braehead - attracting thousands of visitors to its shopping centre, maritime museum and leisure facilities.

Renfrew Ferry - a popular entertainment venue on the River Clyde.

Xscape - Scotland's first indoor real snow ski slope has recently opened at Braehead.

Riverside Museum - work on the new riverside transport museum at Glasgow Harbour is underway.

City Inn - a well-established riverfront venue.

Custom House Quay - a £200 million development to transform Glasgow's main frontage to the riverbank, providing a mix of residential, leisure and retail facilities.

Springfield Quay  - an established leisure area with plans to add a casino, multi-storey car park and improvements to the Clyde Walkway.

Clyde Waterfront is a strategic partnership comprising the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Glasgow City, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire Councils. Its purpose is to promote the economic, social and environmental regeneration of 13 miles of the River Clyde from Glasgow city centre to Dumbarton.
