Glasgow urban redevelopment

Glasgow’s vibrant city centre can help breathe new life and energy into the wider revitalised Clyde Waterfront.

Already, new urban developments in Glasgow have added an air of dynamism and confidence in the heart of the city and other communities are set to benefit as the work continues along the river.

Glasgow urban redevelopment will see big changes made to the face of the city. Tradeston currently sits on the edge of the city centre. By connecting the area to the growing International Financial Services District in the Broomielaw on the opposite riverbank, it can become one of the cornerstones for our waterfront renaissance. New restaurants, bars and hotels will create a dynamic new community in the centre of the city.

Further east, the historic Merchant City/High Street/Glasgow Green area is another crucial component of the river regeneration plan. The Merchant City offers opportunities for business and employment, while Glasgow Green provides a unique amenity within walking distance of the city centre.
