Exploring the river

As a vibrant waterway at the heart of Scotland's largest city, the River Clyde is an exciting place to explore. The river has always been an important route in and out of the city and with tourism burgeoning, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the river by boat, find out more about the environment and take part in  leisure activities out on the water. River use has changed constantly over several centuries; today, while it remains a working river, the Clyde is also an attractive place to visit.

With the regeneration of the area, a trip "doon the watter" is once more on the agenda. Explore the growing range of school trip opportunities in the Clyde Waterfront area.
