Building on success

Clyde Waterfront already has lots to offer visitors and locals alike. Investment in key locations like the SECC and Braehead has created  a new confidence along the river.

Clyde Waterfront has considerable advantages to build upon:

  • its location between the city and Glasgow International Airport
  • room for businesses to grow
  • available land which can be developed with investment from the private and public sectors
  • a major centre of population – people are the key driver of economic growth
  • renowned academic institutions with international reputations
  • the UK’s second largest retail centre after London
  • commitment from the Scottish Government and business community to the successful regeneration of the River Clyde in Glasgow.

There are a number of exciting Clyde Waterfront projects underway, which will restore the River Clyde as the focal point for enterprise in Scotland.

Clyde Waterfront is a strategic partnership of the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Glasgow City Council, Renfrewshire Council and West Dunbartonshire Council.
